Anna Bradshaw

Anna Bradshaw was born in Kenya and spent her childhood on a remote farm there, where the vast skies, bright colours and way of life influence her paintings today. She was educated in Nairobi and only came to England when she was 18 and a short period nursing gave her the desire to work in the medical world and as a medical secretary she worked her way around the world. She married Robert in 1970 and settled in UK and become data manager for oncology clinical trials at a hospital in North London which continued until retirement. With no formal art-school training Anna began a series of courses, gaining a City and Guilds of London Art School diploma in watercolour painting and studied at the Norfolk School of Painting under Martin Kinnear in 2019 for her Diploma in Oils. Preferring to paint in oils, Anna enjoys the experience of applying paint with either brush, palette knife, or roller using cold wax, and appreciates the resulting characteristic textures. Her aspiration is to create images of the best with a clear understanding of the principles. A member of Suffolk Open Studios at 2 Cobbs Place, Fir Tree Lane, Haughley Green, near Stowmarket, Suffolk.
