ASHFORD, Angela
Angela Jean Ashford was born in Bury St Edmund's in 1959, daughter of John Silas Ridout Morley and his wife Jean Elizabeth née Jillings who married at Eye, Suffolk in 1951. Angela was brought up in Suffolk but has lived in various places around the world but returned to live in her home county. Angela, who is a retired N.H.S. nurse is a self-taught artist based at Trimley St Mary, near Felixstowe, Suffolk and concentrates fully on art. Angela designed a large mural for her local primary school in Trimley St Mary and was sponsored by Fred Olson to paint an Elmer for the 'Elmer’s Big Parade Ipswich,' which raised £4,400 towards the St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich. Angela works in various genres from portraiture and prophetic art, paintings based on biblical truths, to collages with sea glass and driftwood and is well known for her portraiture, pastel, and charcoal work as well as pet portraits. She has exhibited including at Art on the Prom at Felixstowe and elsewhere.
