GRANT, Noreen

1948 - ?

Noreen Elizabeth Grant was born in August 1948. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. Noreen is known for her evocative work, often featuring nature and antique textile and garment-related imagery using intaglio processes on copper: etching, aquatint, embossing, photographic and mezzotint. Her prints are often created in several stages, paper printed in black ink and subsequently overprinted with silver with subsequent masking, embossing and passing through the press a number of times. The prints may have torn edges to accentuate the suggestion of the antique fragment. Noreen is a member of the Suffolk Craft Society and exhibited at the International Mini Print Exhibition in 2017 at Wingfield Barns, Suffolk.
