MERRIN, Peter
Peter Edward Merrin was born at Shardlow, Derbyshire on 1 August 1930, son of James Merrin (1 May 1899-1991), a service engineer, and his wife Maggie née Harrington (6 October 1901-1991), who married at Skipton, Yorkshire in 1923. Peter married at Shardlow in 1952 Averil D. Ward (1929-) and had issue including Simon Merrin (1963-) who carried on his business as S J M Fine Art. A freelance artist, putting on exhibitions for Rolls Royce aero engines and worked for the RSPB who around 1980 purchased Framlingham Art Gallery and was the founder of the Framlingham Art Society in 1981. Peter Edward Merrin died at Well Close Square, Framlingham on 12 August 2021
