PEWSEY, Julia

As Julia Abrahams she married at Halstead, Essex in 1988, Robert Pewsey and works under the name of Julia Pewsey. Julia graduated from the North-East Essex School of Art in Colchester, after which she worked in several design studios and in 1990 became a freelance illustrator working on artwork for greetings cards, magazines, and giftware, with animals and wildlife as her main subjects. She now concentrates on producing pet portraits in watercolour on a tinted board which enables her to produce highly detailed paintings made from many layers of colour, making them realistic. Since working as an artist Julia has travelled worldwide working on commissions and her work has been exhibited in many exhibitions.
