READES GALLERY
Reades Gallery, 70 High Street, Aldeburgh was situated on the premises of William C Reade of Aldeburgh Ltd., who were designers and architectural builders. This property is now residential and known as Reade Court which was built in 2008. The first exhibition noted was of the works of David Hazelwood in June 1972 and other Suffolk artists who exhibited at Reades Gallery include Eileen Bell, Hugh Boycott-Brown, Mary Conder, Marion Jane Audrey Miller of Glenlee, Cavendish Morton, Audrey Penn and Kevin Barry Thompson. The last exhibition noted at Reades was that of the works of Kathleen Harvey of Linton, Cambridgeshire in August 1991.
