MUSSON, Grace
Grace Constance Musson was born in London on 24 July 1885 but baptised at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 30 August 1885, daughter of Alfred Musson (1848-1911) and his wife Agnes Crake (18 March 1857-1943), daughter of Edmund Fisher Crake, a jeweller of Lowestoft who married at St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft on 8 November 1877. In 1901 she was a 15-year-old living at 136 High Street, Lowestoft, with her parents, 52-year-old shopkeeper Alfred, who was born at Thame, Oxfordshire and his 44-year-old wife Agnes, who was born at Lowestoft with a 10-year-old sibling brother Allan Stuart Wilson Musson (1891-1904), who born at Lowestoft. In 1901 Grace was admitted a pupil at Lowestoft College of Art and in 1904 a pupil teacher and in 1923 Grace is appointed principal of the then named Technical Institute and School of Art and in 1939 Grace was the Principal of Lowestoft School of Art living at 52 Acton Road, Lowestoft with her mother Agnes and 37-year-old Eleanor Doris Varley, an assistant teacher. Grace Constance Musson retired in 1946 and died at 52 Acton Road, Lowestoft on 19 March 1960, she was unmarried and left her estate to Eleanor Doris Varley.
