CHRIS BEETLES GALLERY

1975 - ?

The Chris Beetles Gallery was founded by Chris Beetles in 1975, and since 1984 has been based 8 & 10 Ryder Street, St James’s in London’s famous art dealing district. Their full range of stock is available to view on site, on request and with over 30,000 pictures in stock, and prices ranging from £100 to £250,000, they are confident that no other gallery in the United Kingdom can offer such a wide range of desirable, original artwork for sale. Chris Beetles Gallery specialises particularly in works by Thomas Rowlandson (1756–1827), members of the Old Watercolour Society, Hercules Brabazon Brabazon (1821-1906), Albert Goodwin (1845-1932) and Stanley Roy Badmin. Widely known for their expertise in watercolours, the gallery also deals significantly in oils and sculptures. The gallery manages the estates of the popular painters and sculptors, Andrew Harold Bernard Dunstan, RA (1920-2017), Sydney Charles Harpley, RA (1927-1992) and Enzo Mario Plazzotta (1921-1981), and represents a select group of contemporary artists, Anthony Green RA (1939-2023), Keith Frederick Grant (1930-) and James Walter Butler RA (1931-2022). Specialist exhibitions change monthly, while a permanent display of the full range of stock is maintained on the other floors of their bright, dynamic space. A complete framing service and advice on valuation and restoration are also available. Suffolk artists who exhibited with the Chris Beetles Gallery include Timothy Easton, Olwen Jones and Priscilla Lamont.
