SUDBURY ARTS & CRAFTS
Sudbury Arts & Crafts exhibition was supported by the Sudbury branch of the Halstead Coopertive Society with the second exhibition opened in 1945 by Richard Leonard Gillingham (1887-8 March 1968), headmaster of Sudbury Grammar School and the third Sudbury Arts & Crafts Exhibition was held on 16-19 October 1946 at the Cooperative Society Buildings, North Street, Sudbury. Further exhibitions were held in Sudbury Town Hall but seem to have been succeeded by a Trades Exhibition which faded away in the early 1950s. Suffolk artist who exhibited at this exhibition include Brian William Cardy.
