CARDY, Brian William
Brian William Cardy was born at 42 Clarence Road, Sudbury, Suffolk on 6 February 1929, son of Leonard William Cardy (7 May 1898-19 April 1944), a plumber & decorator, and his wife Ethel Kate Crissell (1 January 1897-1985), daughter of Henry William Crissell of Sudbury, who married at St Gregory's Church, Sudbury on 3 June 1922. Brian was educated at Sudbury Grammar School. At the Sudbury Arts & Crafts Exhibition held at the Town Hall, Sudbury in 1946, the art section was judged by Paul Earee, when Cardy was awarded a special prize for his pen & ink work, 'Church Street, Sudbury'. Brian William Cardy died at Sudbury in 1994.
