Stephen Walton prior to 1997 had a career in arts management working with a number of leading production companies and venues. Stephen Walton founded the Stephen Walton Fine Art to promote a range of talented emerging artists and mount exhibitions in Bury St Edmunds, Burnham Market and Cambridge. The Stephen Walton Gallery, Hatter Street, Bury St Edmunds was owned by Stephen Walton closed in 2010 when Walton went to the Edmund Gallery. Stephen Walton, also known as 'The Art Man' is an art dealer, gallerist, and framer based at Felsham Road, Bury St Edmund’s IP30 0AQ and may have been succeeded by Walton and Bovill Art Gallery. Suffolk artists who exhibited at the Stephen Walton Gallery include Bill Pryde; Edwin Wilson.
