DEMMON, Alfie
Alfie Terry Demmon was born at Newham, Essex in 1998, eldest son of Terrance David Demmon and his wife Dionne Frances née Attfield, who married at Newham in 1997. Alfie studied at Canterbury College of Art now part of the University for the Creative Arts 2019-2023 graduating B.A. in Architecture. His more recent work has taken a more architectural slant choosing to interrogate architecture's capacity to express and describe abstract ideas and concepts using more 'concrete' forms and media. Alfie has exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society winning First Prize by work by sixth-form students from around Suffolk in 2017 and at The Cut Arts Centre Halesworth where voted by visiting members of the public 'The Cut People's Choice Award' 2019 and an exhibition of his recent work, together with the work of Chris Newson and Tina Hagley, was held at the Halesworth Gallery in June 2024.
