An M. Robart of Haverhill, Suffolk is listed in Graves 'Dictionary of Artists' as exhibiting a figure work at the Suffolk Street Gallery of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1849. This is probably an error for Roberts and for Susanna Maria Roberts - In 1851 Robert Roberts was the 63 year old vicar of Haverhill living at Haverhill with his 56 year old wife Emily and three sons Robert Lynford Nottidge (1821-1855), William Caryl (1832-1895) and Josias Pepys (1836-1927) and four daughters Susannah Maria (Le Mottee 1823-1901), Louisa Cecilia (Pearse 1824-1918), Priscilla (1828-1852) and Alicia Mary (Halsted 1830-1909).
