STUBBINGS, Marjorie Blanch May

Marjorie Blanch May Stubbings, was born at Belph Whitwell, Worksop, Derbyshire in 1895, daughter of Joseph Stubbings, groom on the estate of the Duke of Portland, and his wife Harriet née Newton, who married at Worksop in 1872. In 1911, a butcher's help, living at Belph, Nottingham with her parents, 60 year old Joseph and 59 year old Harriet with three sibling brothers, Walter M. 29, Harry M. 23 and Ernest Harold 18, all born at Worksop. Marjorie exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool in 1920 from 93 High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk, at that time the Misses Stubbings kept a wool & fancy store at this address. She died at Belph, Derbyshire on 2 June 1929, aged 33, she was unmarried.
