STUBBING, Marjorie Bond
Marjorie Bond Stubbing was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 3 January 1899, daughter of Charles Frederick Stubbing (1862-1 February 1924), grocer, draper, and outfitter, and his first wife Gertrude Emily née Bond (1865-1920), who married at Norwich in 1873, Frederick married secondly in the Mutford area in 1921 Lucy Burgess. In 1911, Marjorie was living at 18 & 19 Tonning Street, Lowestoft with her parents. Marjorie studied at Lowestoft Technical School of Art passing examinations at the National Society of Art Masters in 1915. In 1921 Marjorie, a photographer's assistant at Broughton Photographic in Lowestoft, was living at 19 Clapham Road, Lowestoft with her father 59-year-old Charles, now a credit draper and her stepmother 56-year-old Lucy. In 1939 Marjorie was a photographic assistant living at 36 Waveney Drive, Lowestoft with two other ladies. Marjorie Bond Stubbing died at 8 Halifax Road, Brighouse, West Yorkshire on 9 April 1983, she was unmarried.
