SABATIER, Emma
Emma Helene Sabatier was born in France around 1873, only child of Gabriel Timothée Sabatier (23 February 1842-17 March 1907), Officier de la Cadémie Légion d'Honeur, and Lutherian pastor at Cherchell, Algeria, and his wife Annette née Addison (11 June 1837-27 December 1917), who was born at Chilton Hall, Sudbury, Suffolk. In 1891, Emma was an 18-year-old art student, living at 45 The Willows, Penzance, Cornwall with her 53-year-old mother Annette Sabatier 'on own means'. Emma studied at Penzance School of Art passing several examinations 1891-1892. At the time of the death of her mother in 1917 Emma was living at 4 Grove Villas, Teignmouth, Devon. Emma Helene Sabatier was of Vine Cottage, Exminster, Devon when she died at Exe Vale Hospital, Exminster on 15 April 1963, she was unmarried.
