Well Street Studios offers art classes with artist and educator Amanda Dow Thompson. Based at 15 Well Street in the centre of Bury St Edmunds, the emphasis is on project-based learning, where students are invited to explore their own concepts and ideas. Sculpture, printmaking, painting, and traditional drawing skills are taught during group or individual classes. Students of all ages and stages are welcomed. Amanda has over thirty years' experience in the classroom and art studio. Originally from London, she spent the last fifteen years in New York City, making and exhibiting her own work while simultaneously teaching at Dwight School, NYC. During her twelve-year tenure at the school, she instructed students from the ages of six to eighteen, including those with learning differences. She took on the role of head of visual arts, overseeing the arts programme school wide.
