RUTTERFORD, Rob

Robert C. Rutterford was born at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. An art teacher for many years in schools both in Lincolnshire and Suffolk, also in the Falkland Islands. Known as Rob Rutterford, is a local ceramicist and artist and has been potting and teaching in East Anglia for some thirty years and organises the Young Artists Exhibition each year at Halesworth Gallery. He creates large stoneware outdoor sculptural single fired forms and smaller raku pieces. His inspiration grows from gardens, the natural world, historical reference, the local coast and friends. He has been involved with the Association of Suffolk Art Teachers over many years and has exhibited widely at home and abroad including locally at the Halesworth Gallery and the Serena Hall Gallery. He married at Great Yarmouth in 1976 Valeria A. Calver and has his studio at Norwich Road, Halesworth, Suffolk.
