RUTTERFORD, Rob

Robert C. Rutterford was an art teacher for many years in schools in Lincolnshire, Suffolk, and the Falkland Islands. Rob is a local ceramicist and artist and has been potting and teaching in East Anglia for some 30 years and organises the Young Artists Exhibition each year. He creates large stoneware outdoor sculptural single fired forms and smaller raku pieces. His inspiration grows from gardens, the natural world, historical reference, the local coast and friends. He has been involved with the Halesworth Gallery and the Association of Suffolk Art Teachers over many years and has exhibited widely at home and abroad. He married at Great Yarmouth in 1976 Valeria A. Calver and has his studio at Norwich Road, Halesworth, Suffolk.
