CALLWOOD, Jean
As Jean Heather Morley, she was born at Lewes, Sussex in 1942, daughter of Leonard Edward Morley (14 October 1914-12 November 1980) and his wife Freda Joan née Hewitt (19 May 1916-15 October 1976), who married at Portsmouth in 1939. Jean married at Lewes, Sussex in 1964, John Edward Callwood and paints as Jean Callwood. In the 1990s Jean worked as Dental Health Coordinator in Gloucestershire and after taking early retirement enrolled on a watercolour painting course at the local Technical College. Moving to Suffolk opened more opportunities for her to paint seascapes but she has developed her flower meadow paintings, painting from her own photographs, sometimes adding an abstract image. A member of the Woodbridge Art Club from her home in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
