STRAND, Kathleen Molly
As Kathleen Molly Craddock, known as Molly, she was born at Warrington School Farm, Werrington, Cheadle, Staffordshire on 11 December 1932, daughter of Noel Vincent Craddock (25 December 1897-23 March 1959), a farm manager, and his wife Lily Evelyn Bethell (1893-24 September 1966), who married at Lichfield, Staffordshire in 1922. Molly married at Cheadle, Staffordshire in 1954, Robert Alister Strand, deputy principal of Stoke-on-Trent School of Art. An artist in oil and watercolours and was also an expert embroiderer. On the retirement of her husband in 1982, they settled at Middleton, Saxmundham in Suffolk where she continued her painting. Together with her husband, members of the Suffolk Group of Artists and continued her art working at Middleton. Kathleen Molly Strand died on 23 January 2010, leaving a son and a daughter.
