Helen Oghenegweke

As Helen Marie Whatling, she was born at in Halesworth in 1973, but raised in Saxmundham, Suffolk, daughter of David George Whatling (18 March 1937-6 January 1998) and his wife Josephine A. née King (born 1941), who married in Blyth in 1965, Helen is a sister of Susan Whatling. Helen married at Norwich in 1997, Nyerhome E. Oghenegweke and works under the name of Helen Oghenegweke. After leaving school she studied at Lowestoft School of Arts for a National Diploma in Art and Design and completed a Master's degree in fine art at Norwich University of the Arts. Having gained a degree, Helen went on to become a primary school teacher. Helen is also an author, with writing her way of relaxing and escaping to other worlds where anything can happen as she seeks to create new characters and weave them into interesting story plots. Her works include children's books; science-fiction; paranormal; romance and fantasy with titles such as 'A Wish for Marcus'; 'Connor Clover' (the Starstone Trilogy) and 'The Story of Pilly-Pod' series. She lived in Norwich with her husband and has exhibited at Art Fair East, Norwich and elsewhere.
