DAVIS, Stella

c.1962 - ?

Stella Mary Davis, studied with Open College of the Arts where she discovered a love of Printmaking and gained her Diploma in Creative Arts and a Certificate in Printmaking Skills from Curwen Print Study Centre, Cambridge. In 1980 Stella moved to Suffolk and worked for Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk County Council and West Suffolk College enjoying art as a hobby, especially drawing and watercolours. Stella has exhibited at Royal Academy from Onehouse, Stowmarket, Suffolk where she lives with her husband and family. A member of Stowmarket Art Club for many years and a qualified tutor who offers workshops and leads en plein air painting days at a local nature reserve. A full-time printmaker who enjoys screen print, lino, collagraph and cardboard-cut techniques but also like to play with 3D and shadow effects.
