PAINT CLUB EAST
Paint Club East was founded by Barbara Howey in 2012, an organisation based in East Anglia through which a series of talks and studio critiques engages with contemporary debates within painting and is also a member of an exhibiting artists group 'Clause Four' which consists of artists working in a range of media from video, performance, installation, photography, and painting. An Arts Council supported organisation for the professional development of painters in the Eastern region. Its aim is to develop dialogue across the East Anglian region around issues in contemporary painting. They have hosted talks by Rosie Snell, Marcus Harvey, Peter Ashton-Jones and Daniel Sturgis in two supporting venues - Firstsite and Minories in Colchester.
