ELLISTON, Marguerite
Marguerite Althea Amy Elliston was born at Siam House, Siam Place, Sudbury, Suffolk on 21 July 1889, only daughter and third of the four surviving of the ten children of Thomas Elliston (4 December 1852-1 December 1939), a builder, and his wife Amy née Grimwood (27 March 1852-8 May 1940), who married at Great Waldingfield Church, near Sudbury on 5 June 1879 and in 1939, were still living at Siam House, Sudbury. In 1911 Marguerite passed her art examinations at West Suffolk Science and Art School in drawing in light and shade and in 1912 in geometrical drawing and in memory drawing of plant form. As Miss Marguerite Elliston she exhibited with the Stour Valley Group in 1922 'Old Cottages at Newton'. Marguerite Althea Amy Elliston was of Siam Place when she died at Acton Square, Sudbury on 21 November 1965, she was unmarried.
