ARIA, Hannah
Hannah Louise Aria was born in Rochdale in September 1984, but as a child came to live in Ipswich. Hannah was a Health Promotion Specialist prior to entering the professional arts arena and is an experienced Youth and Community Worker. As a young art student, Hannah was influenced by the conceptual artist Tracey Emin (1963-), and the works of Kerry Darlington (1974-) which inspired her to explore the medium of resin which began her obsession with three-dimensional embellishments. Hannah studied at the University of Suffolk, Ipswich 2018-2020 graduating B.A. (hons) in Arts Practice. Hannah Aria is primarily a visual artist who brings beautiful mixed media pieces to life using 3D design and resin-based media. She has delivered lectures at Arts University Bournemouth about inclusive arts practice and has presented research to the British Working-Class Art Network, supported by Tate Research and the British Museum. Since 2020 her arts practice has been backed by Arts Council England on five separate occasions, funding a series of online participatory workshops, developing her creative practice, launching Neurodelicious, touring Neurodelicious and developing an immersive VR experience to help elevate the stories of women and girls from Afghanistan. In the summer 2018, as a professional artist she exhibited at Art Fair East in Norwich and is a member and exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Society. Hannah has also exhibited at Penny Black Gallery, 2 Ongar Road, Brentwood; Brick Lane Gallery, London; the Minories, Colchester[, [Carousel Gallery,6112]], Framlingham and elsewhere. A full member from Thorpe Morieux of Suffolk Open Studios from her studio at Makerspace, 11 Dove Street, Ipswich.
