MOLLOY, Dorothy
As Dorothy Harriet L. Boer, she was born at Ipswich on 13 June 1896, eldest child of John Boer, a boot & shoemaker, and his wife Annie Elizabeth Jane née Harvey (21 January 1876-1 February 1953), who married at Sudbourne Chapel, Suffolk on 5 August 1894. In 1911, Dorothy was living at 47 Cemetery Road, Ipswich with her parents, 39-year-old John and 34-year-old Annie, with two siblings Muriel 10 and Cecil 5. Dorothy served with the Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps during the First World War after which she married at Ipswich in 1919, Thomas Joseph Molloy (17 April 1891-1930), a Royal Navy seaman who was born at Galway, Ireland. As Mrs Dorothy Molloy she exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1937 from the home of Mrs Boer of 47 Whitby Road, Ipswich, a watercolour 'Sunset Reflections'. Dorothy married secondly at Ipswich in 1937, Albert George Haddock (17 August 1895-28 March 1954), a carpenter, and in 1939 were living at 9 Avondale Road, Ipswich. Dorothy Harriet L. Haddock died at Ipswich in 1977.
