SMYTH, Capt M
Capt. M. Smyth, exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club in 1933 from 74 Orford Street, Ipswich, a watercolour 'Das Gir Ziarat Srinagar, Kashmir'. Have found nothing more but a Mrs Smyth resided at 74 Orford Street c. 1929-1933 and he may be related to Mabel Smyth.
?Captain Morris Henry Smyth, R.N. (24 September 1853-15 January 1940). Was born in Ireland and joined the navy in 1872 and retired as a Vice Admiral and died at 1 Ellachie Road, Alverstoke, Hampshire where leaving his estate to his wife Mary Eliza Smyth, who was born in Trelawney, Jamaica on 18 August 1858 and died on 15 November 1945, they had issue a son Sydney Keith (1884-2 February 1978) and two daughters Eileen Mary (7 February 1887-30 June 1987) and Audrey Morris (1890-30 November 1969) who were born in London.
