HEDGES, Elaine Christine
Elaine Christine Hedges was born in Germany on 23 July 1993, daughter of Martin Hedges and his wife Sabine née MacUra. Elaine studied at University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich, graduating B.A. (hons) Fine Art. Elaine's works are a lengthy process of planning, time, and precision, involving substantial amounts of energy spent on very minute details. The pieces are meticulously hand drawn and hand cut. She takes her inspiration from a diversity of different religious cultures, mostly Islamic and Hindu Patterns as well as Gothic architecture and patterns. Elaine exhibited from 37 Kestrel Drive, Stowmarket, Suffolk at Prettys Art Summer Collection 2015 and was commissioned by Aurora Bar and Restaurant on Ipswich waterfront.
