ZINNA, Dr Rosario
Rosario Federico Zinna was born in Italy on 31 January 1922 and is British by naturalisation. Having obtained a medical degree in Naples, he married Brenda, an English lady and they moved to England. Rosario worked in Canada, the United States and in the NHS in England, retiring around 1990. He is self-taught and has developed 'pencil painting' by using graphite pencils in the manner of a brush to create contrast and gradations of black and white tone. Rosario has always been keen to practice crafts, particularly drawing, and describes his work as 'pencil paintings' and strives to show contrast and light and dark in his work. A member of the Woodbridge Art Club from 29 Through Duncans, Woodbridge, Suffolk and exhibited at Artlib at Woodbridge Library in 2020. Rosario Federico Zinna died between 21 October 2022 and 20 January 2023.
