OLIVER, Ken
Kenneth Oliver was born at Rochford, Essex on 5 April 1960. A graduate of the Royal College of Art. He married at Merton, Surrey in August 1991, Lee H. Dodson and moved from London and now lives in Layham, Suffolk. An English painter, his work rests on his interest in textures, natural surfaces, stone, bronze, wood, plants and their change and degradation over time. He has a keen interest in wildlife and ecosystems which are the subject of much of his artwork being influenced by the works of Archibald Thorburn (1860-1935), John Gould (1804-1881) and Terance James Bond. Ken has his studio at 36 Brett Green, Layham, Ipswich.
