CATOR, Kythe Susan
As Kythe Susan Blofeld, she was born at Quidenham, Norfolk on 28 February 1909 and baptised at Quidenham on 21 March 1909, only daughter and second child of John Calthorpe Blofeld (1875-8 September 1920), a land surveyor, and his wife Isabel Clare Burroughes (1871-22 June 1968), daughter of Thomas Burroughes of Ketton, Stamford, Rutland, who married at St Andrew's Church, Wells Street, London on 21 October 1902. In 1911, Kythe was a 2-year-old living at Hoveton House, Wroxham, Norfolk with her parents, 35-year-old John and 38-year-old Isabel, with sibling brother Thomas Robert 7, and they retained seven indoor servants. She married at Smallburgh, Norfolk on 10 October 1934, Peter Harry Cator (20 April 1908-27 February 1979), a retail motor salesman, son of Maj-Gen. Albermarle Bertie Edward Cator and Violet Eveleen née Sutton. In 1936 they were living at Wayside, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich, in 1939 at Kettlewell House, Pack Lane, Lingwood, Norwich and in 1942 at Sunningdale Drive, Skegness, Lincolnshire. Kythe was a member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists. Kythe Susan Cator died at 11 Homefield Paddock, Beccles, Suffolk on 4 June 1994. They had a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Cator [Eastwood], born 7 July 1935 and two sons, Simon Albemarle John Cator, born 10 July 1937 and Christopher Harry Cator born 9 September 1942.
