COLLER, Dorothy
Dorothy Coller was born at Ipswich on 19 February 1905, eldest daughter of Edward Henry Coller, a draughtsman in the land valuation revenue office, and his wife Margaret Alice née Haggar (20 August 1878-2 August 1961), who married at Ipswich in 1902, Dorothy is a sister to Joan Coller. In 1911, Dorothy was a 6-year-old, living at 58 Foxhall Road, Ipswich with her parents, 35-year-old Edward Henry and 32-year-old Margaret Alice, with sibling sister Marjorie Joan 3. In 1909 she was admitted at Clifford Road School, Ipswich proceeding to Ipswich Municipal Secondary/High School in 1913. She exhibited at the Ipswich Fine Art Club from 67 Corder Road, Ipswich in 1923 a watercolour, 'A Summer Garden'. Dorothy married at Ipswich in 1930, Roland Oxford Davies, a newspaper contractor, and in 1939 they were living at 118 Valley Road, Ipswich with their daughter Jean [later Benson] (born 20 August 1932). Dorothy Davies died at Ealing, London in 1989.
