LANGLEY, Percy Sidney
Percy Sidney Langley was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 18 June 1905, son of Arthur Elijah Langley (1873-31 May 1918) and his wife Harriet Louisa Chamberlain (1873-1933), daughter of Charles Henry Chamberlain, who married at St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft on 13 February 1894. In 1911, Sidney, as he was known, was a 5-year-old, living at 7 Mariner's Street, Lowestoft with his mother, 37-year-old Louisa, with three sibling sisters, Lily 14, Ivy 12 and newly born Doris, all born at Lowestoft, his father was a private in the Durham Light Infantry was killed in action 1918. Sidney married at Lowestoft in 1929, Ellen Eliza Burden (29 January 1907-1984) and in 1939, was a general labourer, living at 7 Clapham Road, Lowestoft with his wife Ellen. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990 from 38 Peddars Way, Lowestoft, Suffolk. Percy Sidney Langley died at Lowestoft in 2001.
