CATER, Joffre James Victor
Joffre James Victor Cater was born at Norwich, Norfolk on 16 November 1915, son of Clement Victor Cater (23 November 1887-1958), a railway ticket collector, and his wife Alice Gwendoline née Rayner (9 March 1885-2006), who married at Mutford, Suffolk on 19 November 1910. In 1939 Clement and Alice were living at 43 Vincent Road, Norwich with their three children Joffre, Errol and Gwendoline. Joffre, who was a bootmaker, married at Norwich in 1940, Eileen Violet Thorpe (27 April 1918-2006). A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990. Joffre James Victor Cater died at 8 Reepham Road, Norwich on 1 October 1994.
