REDMAN, Tony
Anthony James Redman was born in Surrey N.W. district on 1 May 1951, son of Alan Redman (born 1926) and his wife Diana Dorothy née Cooke (3 May 1926-3 March 1957), younger daughter of the late G. Cooke of Molesley Road, Hersham, who married at St Peter's Church, Hersham on 4 February 1950. Tony was educated at Surbiton Grammar School and Anglia Ruskin University proceeding to the University of Reading and married at York in 1974, Caroline Blackwood Ford. An architect and a member of The Whitworth Co-Partnership LLP. and in 1992 accredited as competent in the repair and conservation of Historic buildings by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Elected Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1998, at the same time elected a full member of Institute of Historic Building Conservation. A past vice-chairman at Council for the Care of Churches and a former chair of the conservation group at RICS. An ordained minister and in 2005, obtained an M.A. in Pastoral Theology (APU, Cambridge). A member and exhibitor at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society from The Cottage, Great Livermere, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk.
