WOODWARD, Tyrone

Tyrone A. Woodward was born at Abertillery, then in Monmouthshire now Gwent, South Wales in 1942, son of Robert Andrew Woodward and his wife Mair Elured née Davies (10 June 1909-1990), who married at West Glamorgan in 1938 and in 1939 were living at 'Bryn Lluest', Penycae Road, Port Talbot, Glamorgan. Tyrone was educated at Gellicrug Secondary School and, after being accepted into Newport Art School, owing to family circumstances did not take his finals. He moved to Brightlingsea, Essex, working and treating his art as a hobby, and he married in 1964, Shirley M. Pingo (born 1935). He moved to Suffolk and married secondly at Ipswich in 1975, Elizabeth A. Clarke and retired in 2013 when he resumed art on a full-time basis and joined the Felixstowe Art Group. Tyrone works in most mediums but mainly watercolour, acrylic, pastel and pen & pencil on portrait, land & seascape or on commissions. He exhibits at 'Art on the Prom' at Felixstowe and from his Felixstowe studio.
