SWAFFER, Peter

Peter Whitely Swaffer was born in June 1949. Peter was educated at Xaverian College, Manchester 1960-1964 and studied at Eastbourne School of Art 1966-1969, gaining a Graphic Design Certificate followed by Brighton College of Art 1969-1970 graduating with a distinction. He then had a career in advertising and design, including as art director at J. Walter Thompson and a director of SB Designs Ltd. He married at Brighton in 1984, Sarah L. Riley and about 2010, after moving from Brighton to Suffolk, Peter became a professional artist working in both watercolour and oils also produces black and white drawings in pen and charcoal. He then added to his creative skills by adding writing, his first venture was an illustrated children’s book 'Tommy'. A member of Mellis Arts and now lives at Wilverley House, Earlsford Road, Mellis, Eye, Suffolk with his wife Sarah.
