WALBANCKE, Norman Harold
Norman Harold Walbancke was born at Thornton Heath, Surrey on 9 November 1907, son of Charles Harold Walbancke (27 November 1874-25 February 1949), a commercial traveller, and his wife Edith née Young (4 July 1888-3 May 1952), who married at Wandsworth, London in 1906 and in 1939 were living at 14 Queensbridge Drive, Herne Bay, Kent. In 1911, Norman was a 3-year-old, living at 18 Richmond Road, Thornton Heath, Croydon with his parents, 36-year-old Charles and 32-year-old Edith. Norman married at Croydon in 1935, Brenda Ethel Pinney (7 July 1915-18 January 1999) and in 1939, Norman was an insurance clerk with the Provident Mutual Life Assurance Association, living at Rose Cottage, Winchester, Hampshire when his wife's address was Running Horse, West Hill, Alresford, Hampshire. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990. Norman Harold Walbancke died at English Cottage, Great Common, Ilketshall, Beccles, Suffolk on 12 May 1995.
