SNEDDON , Daphne
As Daphne J. King, she was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1935, daughter of Dennis E. King (7 May 1915-1954), a builder's labourer, and his wife Hilda Helen née Houghton (9 September 1918-1996), and in 1939, they were living at No 1 Turner Cottages, St John's Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. Daphne married at Beccles, Suffolk in 1970, Frederick James Stuart Sneddon (3 October 1947-14 April 2016), a professional photographer, and now works as Daphne Sneddon. Daphne is a freelance artist who draws inspiration from her childhood days in the Suffolk countryside. Her artistic roots lie with painting, her flowers and attention to detail lending themselves to Greeting Cards and her skills and interests have progressed into photography and, together with her husband Stuart, formed Anglian Art. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990 from 84 Queen Elizabeth Drive, Beccles, Suffolk, and she exhibited at Advocate Art and at Bircham Gallery, Holt, Norfolk.
