SEYMOUR, Geoffrey Vincent
Geoffrey Vincent Seymour was born at Uxbridge, Middlesex on 26 July 1912, only son of Frank Vincent Seymour (14 July 1886-15 November 1953), an art editor, and his wife Norah née Davies (28 December 1881-20 April 1952). Geoffrey married firstly at Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 1937, Margaret Joan Underhill (25 June 1909-29 November 1979), manager of an estate agency, and they lived at Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. Geoffrey served as a Major in the Royal Artillery during the Second World War and in 1946, when of Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, awarded an O.B.E. He married secondly in the Waveney district of Suffolk in 1980, Philippa Charity Mary Martin, Philippa Seymour. A member and exhibitor at the Beccles Society of Artists 1977-1990. Geoffrey Vincent Seymour died at Beccles, Suffolk on 31 August 1991 and buried at St Giles, Great Wishford, Wiltshire.
