BESTIC, Liz
Elizabeth Rosemary Celine Bestic was born at Wuppertal, Germany in 1953. Liz, as she is known, trained at West Surrey College of Art & Design and Exeter College of Art. In the mid-seventies she was a journalist for the 'Sunday Times' before switching careers, taking a Diploma in Printmaking at Sir John Cass School of Art, London in 1992. A printmaker living at Woodbridge, Suffolk, exhibiting at Buckenham Galleries, Southwold; Taplin Gallery, Woodbridge, and the Pin Mill Studio, Chelmondiston, all in Suffolk and Espacio Gallery, Shoreditch and The Art Pavilion, Mile End London. She married at Westminster, London in 1997, James Robert Bewsher (born 1952) and is now living in North London with her children. A member of East London Printmakers and a freelance journalist writing on health for national newspapers and 'New Scientist' magazine.
