Christine Lester

As Christine Mary Bryant, she was born in the Barking district of Essex in 1966, daughter of Paul C. A. Bryant and his wife Sheila P. née Parker, who married at Woolwich, London in 1962. Christine married at Bath, Somerset in 1988, Patrick S. Lester and paints under the name Christine Lester. Christine developed her painting skills when she lived in Somerset, painting a variety of subjects in oils, acrylics, and watercolours, exhibiting widely at West Country locations, from the Bath Society of Artists and Clifton Arts to local galleries and was a contributor to the 'Westhall Secret Postcard Auction in 2013 'Birds of a Feather'. Christine is most attracted to the human form and animals as subjects and, having had several cats of her own, led her to join the national Society of Feline Artists. She is now living at Fir Tree Cottage, Rectory Road, Middleton, Suffolk and conducts adult teaching classes. Her recent paintings take the places and people of East Anglia as her inspiration and Christine is the owner of 'Art Breaks East Anglia' which enables the experience and pleasure of discovering some truly special places through the artist’s eye, by sketching and painting with her guidance. These breaks offer the combination of convivial company, expert tuition, and the chance to develop your artistic ability, in locations which have inspired artists for centuries.
