As Penelope Knowles, she married at Amersham, Buckinghamshire in 1967, Hugh Barham Butterworth and paints under the name of Penny Butterworth. Penny was a design and textile tutor and now works experimentally with mixed media, prints and collages, arranged in sets following themes, geographical or archaeological with subjects including the Suffolk Coast, fossils, and erosion. An Associate Member of the Suffolk Open Studios from Barn End Studios, Old Homes Road, Thorpeness, Leiston, Suffolk.
