Kirstie Ann Blackbenz completed a foundation course at Lincoln College of Art and obtained her B.A. from Maidstone College of Art in the 1970s. In 2003, a 'dog walker' residing and carrying on business as Walkies, from 62 Warwick Avenue, Woodbridge. In 2008 she moved from Woodbridge to Aldeburgh, Suffolk but it was not until 2011 that she was finally able to bring her artist talents to fruition when she had her first solo exhibition and an artist’s residency at the Aldeburgh Beach Lookout Arts Club. Kirstie made the move from acrylic to oil painting and produces in a variety of mediums and has commenced painting portraits in oil.
