Phyllis Enid Bathgate paints under the name of Phyl Bathgate. A member of the Ipswich Art Society and exhibited from 18 Borrowdale Avenue, Ipswich in 2006, an oil 'Sledging in Christchurch Park'. She has also exhibited in London, Cambridge and at the Aldeburgh Gallery, Suffolk in 2014. She was still exhibiting at the Ipswich Art Society in 2017 two oils 'Red Sky over Orford' and 'Cuillin Mountains, Skye'.
