DRUMMOND, June
As June R. Kiddle, she was born at Swaffham, Norfolk in 1930, daughter of Bertie William Kiddle (18 February 1895-15 December 1955), a farmer, and his wife Audrey née Gardner, who married at Walsingham, Norfolk in 1926. In 1947, June was a student at Norwich School of Art, but due to financial circumstances was unable to complete the course. June married at Toft Monks Church, Norfolk on 11 February 1956, John Edward Drummond (1926-2015) after which her time was used in bringing up her family of two sons and two daughters. However, at the age of 49, she attended adult classes at Ipswich School of Art under Ken Cuthbert, since when, as June Drummond, has painted regularly, usually flowers and items from around her home. A Friend of the Ipswich Art Club and exhibited from Cookley Farm, Eye, Suffolk in 1990, three pictures 'Harvest Festival', 'Still Life with Red Cabbage and Aubergine' and 'Anne's Garden' and from the same address in 1997, 'Gift' and 'Pomegranates, Plums, Beads'. June is a founder member of the Eye Arts Guild where she also exhibits.
