CROMARTY, Esmée Joan

1926 - 2010

As Esmée Joan McKean, she was born at Laragh House, co. Monaghan, Northern Ireland on 3 August 1926, younger daughter of James Fitz-James McKean (4 June 1877-10 October 1939) of Laragh House, co. Monaghan and his wife Emmy. Esmée, who was a State Registered Nurse, married in April 1961, Robert John Kennedy Cromarty (1924-1998), M.A., only son of Robert Cromarty, M.A., of 54 Arden Street, Edinburgh, young Robert was a classics master at Woolverstone Hall School, Ipswich and they had two children, a son Andrew, and a daughter Jennifer, both born in Ipswich 1963-1964. Esmée was a member of the Ipswich Art Club and exhibited from 127 Henley Road, Ipswich in 1990, two pictures' 'Barges' and 'Mill Pond and Church, Sproughton'. Esmée, of Laragh House, Co. Monaghan, died in hospital on 15 January 2010, aged 83, and was buried in St Margaret's Churchyard, Ipswich.
