Michelle Webber

Michele Webber was born in the Enfield district, Middlesex in 1967, daughter of Charles A. Webber and his wife Patricia M. née Boon, who married in SW Essex in 1964. Michele's education was interrupted by frequent family house moves, and her desire to become an artist was discouraged but she spent much of her spare time drawing pictures of animals and ‘80s pop stars. After leaving school she had various jobs including copy typing and hairdressing, but she returned to art when her affinity to watercolours was discovered. Although having no formal art training, she has studied under several professional artists including botanical artist Christopher Ryland, and Michele’s work now includes printmaking, mixed-media, and mosaic, but watercolour remains her favourite medium. She works from her garden studio and now includes teaching art classes and courses in her portfolio. She is a published illustrator, writing art business and tuition articles online, being published in 'Craftseller' magazine. A member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists; Colchester Art Society; Gainsborough's House Print Workshop and is a professional associate of the Suffolk Art Society, SAA. She exhibits each year in a variety of open and mixed exhibitions including at the 'Vision of Sudbury' show at St Peter's Church, Sudbury in 2009, and Gainsborough's House Gallery two works in 2013, a watercolour 'Sunflowers behind Melford Church' and a watercolour & gouache 'Wheatfields'. She currently lives with her partner and teenage daughter Roxanne, at Hall Rise, Sudbury, Suffolk.
