ALLEN, Charles Frederick
Charles Frederick Allen was born at Smallburgh, Norfolk on 21 January 1928, son of William Thomas Allen (1891-1928) and his wife Gladys Selina née Hazell (1896-1942), who married at Smallburgh in 1919. Charles married at Starston, Norfolk in 1953, Mary Pamela Adcock. An associate member of the Ipswich Art Club 1955-1962 and exhibited from 35 Primrose Crescent, Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich in 1955, two oil paintings 'February Morning' and 'Quiet Backwater, Wensum', in 1956 two oils 'Early Start, Norfolk Broads' and 'Summer Gold' and his last exhibit was in 1961 when he exhibited from 32 Primrose Crescent, an oil 'Quiet Waters'. Charles was also a member and exhibitor at the Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle 1952-1963. Charles Frederick Allen died in March 2002.
