KETCHER, Jean
Jean Ketcher was born in the Ealing district of London on 6 July 1955, daughter of William Joseph Ketcher (13 September 1920-1998) and his wife Victoria née Camelo (29 September 1919-11 July 1979), who married at West Ham in 1943. Jean studied at Ipswich School of Art 1971-1973 and at Maidstone College of Art 1973-1976, graduating B.A. (hons). A painter in oil, watercolour and other media, an art teacher at Copleston High School, Ipswich, and a member of Ipswich Art Club, exhibiting from 79 Main Road, Kesgrave, Ipswich in 1977, 'Corner of the Studio' and two further pictures in each of the following years. In 1980 she exhibited from 46 Sandown Way, Ipswich, two pictures 'Broken Radio' and 'Old Car Seat' and a single item in 1990 'Cottage Door' and in 2019 an oil 'The Ruins, Bury St Edmund's'. Jean Ketcher also exhibited at Ipswich Town Hall Gallery; Ellingham Mill, Bungay and at Halesworth Gallery, Suffolk.
