LAVENHAM CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY
Lavenham Contemporary Art Gallery, 70-71 High Street, Lavenham, Suffolk was opened by artist Paul Evans around 1992. In 1988, Paul established his first gallery in Alfriston, East Sussex and in 1992 moved to Suffolk and opened Lavenham Contemporary Gallery, selling books, cards, prints and original paintings. His paintings can be viewed all year round and feature the stark landscapes of newly harvested wheat fields punctuated with moon-shaped straw bales and other rural Suffolk scenes. Lavenham Contemporary features a small number of carefully curated pieces from other professional artists and this constantly changing selection of work. Suffolk artists who have exhibited with the Lavenham Contemporary Art Gallery include Gay Hutchings and Arabella Shand.
